Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Karl LH Heggland, DDS
Dr Heggland received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the 1988 national championship football team. After graduating from college, he enrolled in the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where in addition to graduating with honors, Dr Heggland won awards for his research in microbiology and his skills in surgery at the University of Minnesota.
After receiving his dental degree Dr Heggland spent seven additional years training in surgery and anesthesia. With time spent in such varied environments as VA Medical Centers in Denver, Colorado; Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio; Children's Hospitals in Denver and Cincinnati, and University Medical Centers in Denver, Cincinnati , and Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr Heggland gained the widest possible scope of expertise in surgery and outpatient anesthesia.
Presently, Dr Heggland maintains a full-time practice in Frisco, Colorado, as well as his position as the primary surgeon at the Vantage Dental Implant Center in Denver, Colorado. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and is the Chief of Surgical Sub-specialties at the St. Anthony's Summit Medical Center. When he's not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and family skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, hunting, barbeque, bird dogs and old trucks.
